D'eBook Sharing Book Reviews

Back in 2011, my hubby asked me  if I’d like a Kindle. I said no as I preferred “real” books. He went and bought me a Kindle anyway LOL. I started browsing Amazon for free eBooks and to my surprise I found a lot more than I thought I would. When I fell ill in 2013, he came home with a Kindle Fire HD for me. Now, I couldn’t do without my Kindle.

I joined some eBook groups on Facebook and wanted to share the links I found. However, because I found so many free books, it seemed like I was spamming these groups which I felt was a bit unfair so I started my own group for the many freebies I came across and some eBooks that were a bargain at cheap prices. After months of reading lots of freebies, some of which I liked, some I loved and some that bored the hell out of me, a friend on Facebook posted that she had written a book and it had been published and was now available on Smashwords. So I picked up ‘The Boomerang Effect’ by Lindy Spencer and afterwards she asked if I would mind leaving a review for it.
Now, I will hold my hands up and plead guilty to never, ever thinking that an author would actually want/need reviews so I’d kinda never really left reviews. After leaving a review for Lindy’s book, I made a concious effort in leaving a review for all the books I’d read, but it wasn’t enough in my opinion. So I started this blog and it was originally called ‘eBook Sharing’. It was where I wanted to share my reviews and the links to the books I reviewed to try and help authors, even if it was only a small way of doing so. After a few weeks, I changed the name to D’eBook Sharing Book Reviews to add a little personal touch 😛

In addition to leaving reviews, I added two promo spots to the blog: Author Promo & Book Promo. I started a Blog schedule group on Facebook so that anyone who was interested could book one or both of the promo slots: D’eBooks Blog Promotion Schedule.
I also signed up to be a tour host for several different Blog Tour Promoters (see below). I also set up a Facebook profile that my blog posts would automatically be shared to and linked a Facebook page to it.

So, that’s the story of D’eBook Sharing Book Reviews. It’s not a heart-warming tale, but it’s my tale and that’s good enough for me 😀 😀 😀
